I was honored to be invited by the Office of Immigrant Affairs (OIA) to serve as a panel speaker during their recent Convening in Philadelphia, where community leaders, advocates, and stakeholders came together to discuss voter engagement and the current immigration legal landscape.
During the discussion, I had the opportunity to share insights from my work as Founder and CEO of Community Support Center PHL, highlighting the challenges and opportunities African immigrants face as they navigate immigration processes, access legal services, and build new lives in the United States. I also spoke about trends we are seeing within our community and the importance of connecting individuals and families with trustworthy resources and qualified legal support.
I am grateful to the Office of Immigrant Affairs, Puentes de Salud, the Welcoming Network, and all fellow panelists for creating a meaningful space for dialogue, collaboration, and community-driven solutions.
These conversations are essential as we continue working together to ensure that immigrant communities are informed, supported, and empowered.
