2020 Stimulus Payment (CARES Act) Details:
• Single taxpayers will receive $1,200 and Married Filing Joint Taxpayers will receive $2,400
• Dependents claimed on a tax return are not eligible to receive a stimulus payment
• Individuals with past due child support will have their stimulus payment reduced or eliminated based on their past due amount
• The stimulus payment is an advance of a 2020 tax credit and repayment is not required
• The most recent tax year return filed will be used to compute your stimulus payment (2018 or 2019)
• Taxpayers receive $500 for each dependent claimed on their return that is under the age of 17
• Taxpayers above specified Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) limits will not receive a payment
• AGI Limits: Single > $99,000; Head of Household > $136,500 and Married Filing Joint > $198,000
• Individuals living on government benefits (SSA or VA) are eligible and will automatically receive a stimulus payment if they receive a SSA-1099 Form
• The IRS created a simple tax return for individuals: that are not required to file a tax return in 2018/2019 or they do not receive a SSA-1099 Form

• Payments will be issued via check or direct deposited using bank information from the IRS or SSA
• If you did not receive a Refund Advance or use Refund Transfer, your stimulus payment will be sent to your Emerald Card for H&R Block customers
• Direct deposits begin on Monday April 13th / Checks mailed within 3 weeks after that date
