Wescott’s Founder and CEO, Grant Rawdin, built the firm on a simple, but fresh, idea: financial planning should go beyond the numbers. As he told WealthManagement.com’s RIA Edge 100, his inspiration: a client asking him to “turn off the clock” to talk about personal matters, not just financial ones.

Since the late ‘80s, Wescott has grounded its work in psychology as much as in tax and investment strategy — from using assessment tools to align internal teams around their strengths, to developing "PerfectScore®," a gamified process that tracks clients' planning progress and keeps them engaged in their own financial journey.

That mission now carries into the next generation, including Alex Rawdin, Wescott's Director of Client Development and Growth Strategy, and a strong cadre of young leaders and financial advisors. Their talents bring the firm's Life-Minded Wealth® approach to new peers and clients alike.

Organic growth rooted in empathy has helped Wescott not only grow in AUM, but has helped build deep, long-standing relationships that stems from thoughtful understanding of what motivates people and their goals.

Wescott Financial Advisory Group has been named to Worth magazine's 2026 list of Top Registered Investment Advisor Firms.

The distinction comes from Worth's Leading Advisor program, which screens firms for assets under management above $500 million, a high-net-worth client base, and independence from broker-dealers.

Numbers alone don't always tell you if a plan is working. For many, what matters is whether your wealth is doing what you actually want it to do. That's the philosophy behind Wescott's Life-Minded Wealth® approach, and it's part of the reason why we are able to continue to serve our clients nearly 40 years since our founding.

Is the market's next chapter being written outside the Mag 7?

Wescott CIO, Mark McCarron, joined Schwab Network's Trading 360 to unpack a market that's starting to reward earnings over hype. He points to rising momentum in financials, energy, and small caps, and explains why he sees the recent pullback as a healthy correction rather than a warning sign of recession.

It's a good reminder that a diversified portfolio isn't built around any single trade. It's built to hold up as leadership rotates.

The wealth management industry is having a moment. Private equity firms are lining up to buy into RIAs. AI tools are creating greater efficiencies when it comes to prep work. And firms are locked in an increasingly public fight for advisor talent.

Financial Advisor's 2026 RIA Survey captures just how much capital and technology are reshaping the business side of this industry. But here's what the data doesn't measure: whether any of it changes what a client truly needs from their advisor.

It doesn't. If anything, it raises the stakes.

Scale can fund better tools. AI can help free up an advisor's calendar. Neither one builds trust with a family navigating a business sale, an inheritance, or the emotional weight of retirement. That still comes down to a coordinated team who understands the full picture, not just the portfolio.

At Wescott, our Life-Minded Wealth® approach was built for exactly this moment: bringing every financial decision into one conversation, backed by a team that stays aligned as markets, tools, and life circumstances change.

Growth in this industry will keep making headlines. We'd rather be known for the relationships we build and the trust we nurture.

"Just buy the index" is common advice for stock investors. Does it hold up for bonds?

In a new CNBC article, Wescott Financial Advisory Group's Chief Investment Officer, Mark McCarron, weighs in on the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index, the "Agg", and where it fits in a portfolio built for more than short-term stability.

His take: an Agg-tracking fund can be a solid core holding for investors looking to hedge against recession, thanks to its diversified mix of Treasurys, investment-grade corporates, and securitized bonds. But context matters. Depending on your goals and risk tolerance, that single fund may not offer the yield or diversification a portfolio needs on its own.

It's a good reminder that fixed income, like every part of a portfolio, works best when it's evaluated alongside your broader financial picture, not in isolation.

Last week, our Harleysville and Philadelphia teams came together in support of Valley Youth House. This organization acts as “a catalyst for youth to achieve their desired futures through genuine relationships that support families, ensure safe places, and build community connections.” Fifty backpacks were filled with necessities and notes of encouragement to help some of the vulnerable youth in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.

A huge thanks to our Culture and Engagement Team, who helped coordinate and fund this initiative. Wescott would also like to highlight the kindness of Thomas Nordone, DMD, Ronald Damore, DDS, and Ashley Damore, DMD, who generously provided dental supplies for the kits.

The world is at its best when community and humanity work towards a common goal rooted in compassion.

Wescott's Karen McIntyre, CFP®, Partner and Senior Financial Advisor, recently authored a piece for Kiplinger's Adviser Intel on a topic that comes up more than most families expect and later than it should.

The financial events that do the most damage aren't market downturns. They're the personal ones: job loss, illness, the death of a spouse, a parent who can no longer live alone. And yet most financial plans barely account for them.

In her article, Karen shares a what-if framework she uses with clients. Three practical steps families can take now, before a crisis forces the conversation. It starts with one question: "If something happened to me tomorrow, would the people I love know what to do?"

For most families, the honest answer is no. Karen's piece walks through how to change that, while there's still time to do so thoughtfully.

Congratulations to Becki Iacopelli, CFA! She was recognized at the CFA Society Philadelphia's Annual Meeting of Members and 2026 Charter Awards Ceremony.

To become a CFA® charterholder, candidates must work through three exam levels covering topics from portfolio management to ethics, often over several years of study alongside their full-time roles. Becki's designation adds to Wescott’s growing depth of investment experts.

Mark McCarron, Wescott's Partner and Chief Investment Officer and a longtime CFA® charterholder, joined the ceremony to celebrate Becki's achievement alongside the broader Philadelphia investment community.

Milestones like this are part of how our investment expertise keeps growing, exam by exam, year by year.

Well deserved, Becki!

Nearly 40 years. Three generations of clients. One growth engine built on relationships, behavioral insight, and a long view most firms don't take.

We sat down with Meg Carpenter on the Growth Leaders of Wealth Management podcast — Grant Rawdin, Carrie Delgott and Alex Rawdin — to talk about how Wescott has grown .

A few things to highlight from our conversation:

Durable systems rarely start as growth strategies. Our behavioral model came out of the 2008 crisis. "Monday Morning Quarterback" started as a pandemic fix. PerfectScore® was built to keep clients engaged in their own plans. Each one was a response to a real constraint — and each one became infrastructure the firm still runs on today.

People, process, technology, and data. Carrie built that framework starting in 2019 because you can't support advisors, qualify leads, or allocate resources without being able to see what's actually working.

The next generation isn't a pipeline problem. When younger advisors lead client relationships with the children and grandchildren of founding clients, the talent model and the client model merge. That's not a program, it's a culture.
