For 2012 Tax returns (next years) all filers taking a deduction for Real Estate tax on a California tax return must list the properties parcel number on their return. California will also be more dilegent in enforcing existing restrictions as to what is properly deductible as real estate tax. For more information go to www.ftb.ca.gov
