Another incredible Northwestern Mutual Annual Meeting is in the books.
One of the highlights was having the opportunity to step onto the main stage and speak in front of more than 15,000 people. A moment I’ll always remember.
Our team was honored to be recognized as part of the Court of Honor, an achievement earned by a select group among more than 8,000 financial advisors. More than anything, it’s a reflection of the trust our clients place in us every day, and for that I’m incredibly grateful.
Beyond the recognition, one of the best parts of the week was spending quality time with my incredible team. Those moments outside the office strengthen the relationships that ultimately help us better serve our clients. I connected and learned from colleagues from across the country, and our keynote speaker, Ryan Leak, reminded me that growth isn’t just about working harder; it’s about working with greater intention.
A few ideas from Ryan’s keynote that will stick with me:
- Behind every “yes” are countless hidden yeses required to make it successful.
- The standard you tolerate eventually becomes the culture you create.
- Great leaders don’t just put out fires; they smell the smoke and solve problems before they happen.
- Ask people how they’re doing… then ask them a second time.
As advisors, our job goes beyond managing investments or building financial plans. It’s about caring for people, creating memorable experiences, and showing up consistently when it matters most.
I’m leaving this week energized, grateful, and excited to continue raising the standard for our clients, our team, and I.
