Winning a federal contract does not always mean winning financially.
With the government increasing its use of fixed-price contracts, contractors must understand exactly what it will cost to perform the work before committing to a price. When labor, overhead, or G&A costs are underestimated, the difference comes directly out of the contractor’s profit.
