TAX SEASON WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT 👀
New clients and returning clients, let’s get ahead of it this year. Before you file, make sure you:
📌 Have ALL your W-2s, 1099s and other tax forms. Don’t rush to file and then find another form in the mail.
📌 Tell your tax preparer about ALL your income, including side jobs, gig work, tips and anything you made from your business.
📌 Update your address with your employer and anywhere else that sends you tax documents.
📌 Talk about who’s claiming the kids BEFORE filing. Filing first doesn’t automatically mean you’re the one eligible to claim them. And having a child doesn’t automatically qualify you for Head of Household either.
📌 If you’re self-employed, start getting your income records, receipts, mileage logs and business expenses together NOW. Please don’t wait until tax season to try to remember everything 😭
