Bert's Black Widow Harley-Davidson* The Teddy Bear Rally is this Saturday at Bert's Black Widow! Bring a new, unwrapped teddy bear or stuffed animal and help us support The Teddy Bear Project.

Hey all! I have a huge favor to ask of you. On Saturday and Sunday we will be collecting teddy bears for the teddy bear project. Every year they used to do a ride or a rally with us. It’s run by a husband and wife team that donate the bears and stuffed animals to abused children in the local area. This year when I called her to find out if we were still on because we do this always on national teddy bear day it turns out her husband who helped her found this charity had passed away. And she’s not able to ride without him and just not up to putting it together. I told her that we would continue the tradition even without a ride and we would collect stuffed animals and teddy bears all weekend. If you guys could spread the word, I know our Hog group is so generous and it would be so wonderful if we had a lot of toys to donate in his memory. Stop by and see Brittany because every stuffed animal donated is worth five dollars of Bert’s bucks up to $30. If you could just spread the word, especially for your weekend ride maybe everybody could just bring a small stuffed animal thank you so much

Great group today around 21 riders took the myakka city tour on the way to Sarasota to Twin Peaks. Food and service were great. Our new Cuban friend Alipio decided to be a gluten for punishment and not only came back for another ride but he joined the chapter😎👍🏻welcome to the family! We are working through our language barrier with the use of the translator on his phone who knew this was possible 🤷🏻 we also had 2 visitors join us today for a ride Dave and Randy which was nice to welcome strangers even if one of them was on an Indian🤣. A great dry day had by all I hope?
Oh and we like Twin peaks for their hot wings too just like Hooters🤣🤣🤣🤣

So it started out as a beautiful bright sunny morning so a few of us decided to ride out to Avon park to the wild turkey tavern for some fried bologna, yum yum!! and some other kinda food🤣lunch was great as always and our sweet little southern waitress was on the ball and fed us quickly👍🏻little did I know the real adventure began on our way home, we ran smack dag into a torrential thunderstorm ⚡️⛈️ got completely soaked before we could get under some cover😢 it rained so hard ya couldn’t see the front of the bike.!! We hid in a gas station like drowning ducks hoping to catch a break but no such luck for the next 20 or so minutes it poured harder and lightning got worse! We made a run for home anyway and made it safely🙏🏻🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️
Ps by the time I got home I was 80% dry gotta love Florida weather😎

13 riders had a great ride to Cheddars in Ft. Meyers for lunch today. Our lead today was our very own head road captain Rick Craig who did a fantastic job taking us a different way through a mix of backroads and highway and Nobobdy got lost😁great food and service made for a good lunch with lotsa laughs and conversation. We were joined today by a wonderful Cuban couple Alipio and Lina as we all managed to struggle through the language barrier. They plan on joining our family in the near future and said they enjoyed very much I think!🤷‍♂️
This is what HOG is all about breaking barriers and making new friends and no one does it better than Spider City IMHO but I’m a bit partial😎 find us at Bert’s Black Widow

14 hot riders followed Linn Dalrymple on an adventurous trip to Cape Coral for lunch at Fords Garage. Great food as always and apparently Linn is missing Tom Clark so in honor of him he included a u turn in today’s adventure🤪. Glad to see those who chose to participate in a club ride and enjoy some camaraderie with their fellow chapter members!! Big happy birthday to our head road captain Rick Craig who celebrates his 29th trip around the sun🎂again 🤣

13 riders rode out to Bartow via backroads to get some lunch at the Blue Ridge Grill. Great food and service welcome back from their trip Jeff Kruse and Steve Swanson glad you guys could make the lunch ride! Guess who won today? 🤷🏻yupper he’s back and right back at it🤣🤔and complained he hadn’t won in months,mind you he’s been back in Minnesota 🤦‍♂️ hot ride home but a great day all around. Thanks to all the riders for coming today without you I would’ve ate alone🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
