📢 Important IRS Update for Business Owners

The IRS has increased the reporting threshold for certain Forms 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC.

✅ Beginning with the 2026 tax year, the reporting threshold has increased from $600 to $2,000 for certain payments. The threshold may also be adjusted for inflation beginning in 2027.

What does this mean for your business?
• You may no longer need to issue a 1099 to vendors or contractors who receive less than $2,000 in reportable payments during the year.
• It's still important to keep accurate records of all payments, as other reporting requirements may still apply.

While this change may reduce the number of 1099s some businesses need to file, every business is different. If you have questions about how this affects your year-end reporting, we're happy to help!

Upcoming Office Hours Notice

Integrity Bookkeeping Services will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are truly blessed to live in a nation where their sacrifice has given us the freedom and opportunity to live, work, and build our businesses.

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th. As a reminder, our office is regularly closed to in-person visits on Fridays. Although email and phone messages typically remain monitored during this time, responses may be delayed until our office opens back up on Monday mornings.

Thank you to all who have served and to the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

We wish you and your family a safe, meaningful, and reflective Memorial Day weekend ahead!
