Tax Season Opens January 26, 2026.

Which mean the Tax Department and the IRS will begin accepting and processing income tax returns. The deadline to file returns and pay any tax owed (or request an extension of time to file) is midnight on April 15, 2026.

Give the office a call to make appointment if you need one or just drop by when you have all you tax stuff.

Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs):

📌 Who Must Take RMDs in 2025?

If you’re age 73 or older, you must take your RMD by Dec. 31, 2025.
If you turned 73 in 2025, you have until April 1, 2026, to take your first RMD — but that means two RMDs in 2026.

💥 Penalties

Miss your RMD? You could face a 25% penalty — reduced to 10% if corrected within 2 years with Form 5329.

❤️ Charitable Giving Tip

Use a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to donate up to $108,000 tax-free from your IRA. Counts toward your RMD and lowers taxable income.
