Most people think it is not necessary to keep receipts since almost everything is purchased either electronically or online. However, receipts/sales slips have information about your purchase such as dates and purchase details. These items are needed to ensure proper coding for your books.

Don’t make the mistake of just tossing all your receipts into a box or single folder. Organize them either by vendor or by category.

Lifetime Rocker, Mick Jagger was attending the London School Of Economics studying Accounting & Finance when he ran into, his friend, Keith Richards. Mick only continued school for less than a year before he dropped out after the chance encounter.

It didn’t take a 🎵“Fortune Teller”🎵 for this rocker to realize he needed to leave accounting behind and head🎵 “Down The Road Apiece” 🎵 because accounting wouldn’t give him the same 🎵“Satisfaction”🎵as the roar of a music loving crowd. Hence, the Rolling Stones were formed in 1962.

If you haven't guessed it, those were some of The Rolling Stones song titles🤣Cheesy? Yes, but I had to do it. 😁

Hello Everyone!

Let me start by introducing myself and telling you why I started Black Over Red Bookkeeping Services.....

My name is Macklyn Gaines and I have been working as an Accounting Manager for small to medium private companies, as well as large corporations, for the past 25 years. I started Black Over Red to help local small business owners understand and better control their business and experience the growth they envisioned

In addition, I love what I do. It gives me a great sense of contribution and gratification to work alongside the local businesses that help shape the landscape around us, while creating and maintaining what makes Oklahoma so unique! It’s very satisfying to walk out the front door or drive around and see local businesses rooted, growing, and thriving. I enjoy seeing their products and the services they offer. Also, being a patron of their businesses is truly a miraculous feeling. I am not only a local business owner in Pryor, my family lives here and we take pride in our community.

Once Black Over Red is able to grow, my goal is to make this business more than just a bookkeeping service. My plan is to make it a place the community can count on and for my potential future employees to get the training and experience they need to further enrich their lives while calling Black Over Red home.
