Most parents budget for childcare like it's a grocery run: fixed cost, check the box. But between the backup plans that fall through, sick days, application fees, and the sheer mental load, it adds up to something a lot bigger. If you're trying to figure out how to actually plan for this stage of life, that's exactly the conversation I have with families every day. Let's connect.

Thinking about pausing your career to take care of your growing family? You’re not the only one—most parents are navigating this same shift. 🔄 But the ones who come out ahead go in with a plan. If you’re figuring out what this season of life means for your family and your finances, I’d love to help. Let’s connect.

One of the most common things I see with clients? They’re waiting for the right moment to start their financial plan. 💸 Waiting for the raise to come through, for interest rates to normalize, for the year to feel less chaotic. But here’s the truth: That moment rarely ever comes. Starting to plan today—even when things feel messy—is always a better call. If you’re in that holding pattern, I’d love to help.

Debt stress doesn’t wait for your balance to hit a certain number. It shows up in your body, your relationships, your sleep—sometimes long before you’re willing to look at the actual numbers. If that sounds familiar, you don’t have to go it alone. Let’s talk and make a plan to bring you real peace of mind.

I usually post about full planning strategies. However, there is an order to planning, and age as well as other financial circumstances can dictate priority of solutions.

If you are 20's-30's you simply haven't had time yet to accumulate enough resources to IGNORE risk management.

In the last few months I have had several decline situations with late 20, early 30 age people with spouses and kids.

Get as much life and disability insurance as you can when you get your first paycheck. You can talk about how much it will cost before you think you need it....but the cost to a family you are now responsible for...and you already have it in place - that becomes priceless. Needing it and can't get it...hurts even more.

Stop being foolish and cheap. also some of you parents out there telling them to wait until you get married or have kids....you are NOT helping. Pennies....pennies to get maximum coverages while you are super young and very healthy.

Yes, put money into your Roth so you can have millions by 50....but if you get sick, hurt, or die too soon; that's not going to happen anyway.

Rant over. I'm not expecting you to call me...but call someone reputable and get this stuff done.

PS. Work coverage is not enough. it's basic, better than nothing, but you need real coverage that travels with you from job to job or when you go out on your own it's already there.

Even the AI expert would call a human advisor. 💬 That’s not a knock on the technology—it’s just clarity about what it’s actually good for. If you’re at a big life moment and want someone in your corner who knows the full picture, I’m here for that conversation.

Failure. Many of us have forgotten what good failure feels like. Schools beat that feeling into you; as if they actually have any of the real life answers.

Being bad at something for the first time, testing a different idea at work, or taking on some new hobby: you are supposed to suck at these things. The growth in your life has never come from knowing how to do something or getting it right on the first try.

But that feeling of learning a new skill/idea, now that's where the joy and the growth is at.

Make it a great day because you have a choice. Choose to do something today that you suck at, and see how your mind expands.

Most families can’t cover the full cost of eldercare on their own, especially if they’re also raising kids. But the goal isn’t to do it alone. If you’re trying to figure out how to hold it all together—or make a plan to help you navigate this more smoothly in the future—that’s exactly what I help people do. Let’s connect.
