I want to explain the new tax laws regarding overtime and tips, etc. These new rules work much like the EIC or child tax credit. If you make under a certain amount of annual income you will receive a credit on your tax return for overtime worked or tips earned, etc. It does NOT mean that you no longer get taxed on your paycheck for these items. You'll still be taxed on tips and overtime on your regular paycheck. Thank you and have a blessed day!
