Christine Bernice Scott, 65, of Rigby, ID, passed away on January 17, 2024. Christine was born on April 5, 1958 to Raymond and DeeAnn Alvey Malone in Idaho Falls, ID. At nine months old she was front page new years baby on the Deseret News Paper. Then her family moved

It is with broken hearts that we would like you to know that Christine passed away this last week. We will not be doing taxes anymore, because Data Tax was Christine's business. Tiffany and Eugene will still be around to get you any information that your new tax preparer might need. You can call the office phone after this week, and Tiffany will answer or leave a message and she will get back to you. You can also email at [email protected] and we will get back to you. We are as shocked as you, as we were preparing to get going on our new different style of tax season.
Christine loved you all as her friends and loved being a small part of your lives. Thank you for being her friend.

Welcome to Day 1 of the new Data Tax Inc.! On June 1 we closed our office at 550 4th Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401 as we began our journey into semi retirement. June 5, we are up and running! Here's what has changed:

- No set office hours during the week, especially in the off season. During the on season we will be working at least 6 hours a day, but may not be accessible by phone.

- if you can't get us by phone, text the Data Tax number (now a cell phone) or email us at [email protected]; we will get back to you as soon as we can, usually within 24 hours.

- We are now 100% virtual (welcome to the 21st century)! This means that we do not have a physical address to meet at, but phone appointments, or zoom meetings can be arranged with advance notice.

- we will accept your information 3 ways. You can mail them through the post office (we recommend making copies) you can email our email address, or email our seure portal.

- we will begin working on your returns when we receive your information, and will call or email with any questions we may have. Once your returns are ready to file, we can either mail a physical copy of the signature document and your return for your records, or we can send you a secure link to sign the Form 8879 electronically and download a copy of your tax return, your choice.

Data Tax has officially closed our office and wont be working on taxes or answering phones for the next week. When the dust settles, we will have gone virtual! You can email us or message us here if you need simething before next week. We are checking those and will get back to you as we can!

Beginning Monday June 5 we will return all calls and messages and begin working on returns again. We wont have set hours, but generally will answer Monday thru Thursday until 4.

Our email is the same and our phone number will accept texts. Our address is now PO Box 15, Rigby, ID 83442. We wont have a pick up area, everything will be mail, email, including signatures.
