Job Title: Accounting Assistant - Full time
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant The ideal candidate will assist with data entry, reconciliations, recordkeeping, and general administrative support for the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with accounts receivable.
• Enter financial transactions into accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
• Maintain accurate accounting files and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma required; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with payroll processing.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Experience working in a small business environment.
