📢 Important Refund Update for 2026 Tax Filers

If you’re claiming the Child Tax Credit (CTC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), please be aware that the IRS is required by law to hold refunds that include these credits for additional review.

This means refunds with CTC/ACTC will not be issued until mid-to-late February at the earliest — even if your return is accepted right away.

✔️ This delay is normal
✔️ It applies nationwide
✔️ It does NOT mean there is a problem with your return

The IRS does this to help prevent identity theft and fraud.
