CASH - Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope - is a community coalition led by Empire Justice Center and the United Way of Greater Rochester. Our core programs include; Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Roc Your Family’s Future (RYFF), and our Volunteer program. VITA is dedicated to delivering free tax preparation services that sit at the heart of the CASH mission. RYFF empowers families in our

community by making them aware that tax credits might be a source of income that they didn’t know about. Our Volunteer Program is dedicated to making CASH services possible by creating and supporting a team of trusted, expert volunteers. We offer opportunities to share expertise, learn new skills, and connect with organizations and individuals who our volunteers might not typically meet in their daily lives. At our core, we are an organization of people who want to impact their community, get involved, and learn new skills at the same time.

Emergencies can happen… without warning
When people think about emergency preparedness, they often think about supplies, evacuation plans, and emergency kits.

But financial preparedness is important too.

Storms, fires, medical issues, or a sudden loss of income can disrupt your life – and your finances. Being prepared can help you recover faster and protect your family.

Some emergencies or disasters may destroy important documents, damage your property, personal belongings, or other assets, prevent you from going to work, paying your bills, accessing your finances, or taking care of your family.
