In the standard health insurance market, all profits are retained by the insurance carrier, no matter how few claims are submitted. Our program works differently, by minimizing cost variability through shared risk in a group captive with other similar sized companies, letting employers retain any cost savings at the end of the year. The healthier the employees and the fewer claims submitted, the more potential savings for the employer. It is Roundstone’s mission to limit the annual increase in employer’s health benefit cost to a level below inflation.
