💰 What Are the New Trump Accounts?
We’ve received a lot of questions about the new Trump Accounts, and many parents are wondering if they’re worth looking into.
Here’s a quick overview:
👶 Any child under 18 can have a Trump Account opened in their name. Children born after January 1, 2025, qualify for a one-time $1,000 federal contribution.
📈 Additional contributions may be made to the account (subject to annual limits), and the money is invested in broad U.S. stock index funds for long-term growth.
Like any financial planning decision, these accounts aren’t a “one size fits all” for every family. They are a tool in your financial tool box.
The best account is the one that fits your family’s goals.
If you’re wondering whether a Trump Account makes sense for your child or grandchild, we’d be happy to discuss the pros and cons and help you choose the option that’s right for your family.
