On Thursday, April 24th we hosted an Estate and Retirement Planning Seminar where our advisors dove into key topics like tariffs, market fluctuations, and retirement planning—all critical in today’s economy.

What made this event truly special? The room was filled with multiple generations, including retired individuals, their adult children who are building their retirement savings, and college students wondering how best to begin saving when they graduate. A special shoutout to the Financial Investment Club from Flagler College, whose enthusiasm for the future was contagious.

Happy National Pet Day!

Today, we recognize the joy, comfort, and companionship our pets bring into our lives. At Cowan Financial Group, we know that pets are more than just animals—they’re part of the family.

To celebrate, we're sharing a few photos of our team’s beloved pets. Kathy's cats (Bella and Winx) prefer exploring the great outdoors, while Sadie's cats (Elliott and Winston) and Cynthia's cat (Jasmine) would rather watch from the window of an air conditioned home.

We were honored to share our office with some of America’s finest today! The Veterans Museum and The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Florida brought in veterans from across branches and generations to tell their stories. Two Cowan Financial Group relatives were among our visitors. Cary’s son, Retired US Army Major General Joe Cowan, shared about his career as a Military Police officer and the transition to civilian service. Cynthia’s dad, Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Emery, told tales of his life as a military brat followed by 28 years of service. These video recorded interviews will be sent to the Library of Congress for preservation as part of the Veterans History Project and will be available to view at www.vetsmuseum.org.
