so, We're closed today -- It's my day to work alone and I have County Gigs most of the day ... the answering machine is on (or my cell if you have it :) ), email works -- or just toss stuff at the building .. Kate will be here Thursday morning and I'll be back Thursday noonish

T: morning and afternoon - County Gig
W: morning (still County)
R: morning -- the last of the County

It's a busy week of County Government .. the dual life I lead gets a little crazy some weeks -- and this is one of them ..

Stay safe and cool - it's going to be a scorcher of a week ....

Wacky Wednesday :

lessons from the techy peeps, Lee, Jon & Lance ...

my desktop computer was growling -- so the clean out of the computers began. the "green" room computer had a abandoned colony? nest? squatter it it ... the only one left is the server and I don't think that is a Marie job.

fortunately -- all of the other 5 have booted back up and are running .. and no more growling from mine.

Schedule for the week:

a fast county gig early monday and a pow wow with software pirates on thursday --

lots of time for quarterly payroll, reports, payroll, financial statements and catch-up projects ....

last weeks "closed" was a bust for one of us :) I managed to work every day ... but left early on a couple of them -- 'tis my life lately

I drove the Mayor Nowell in the parade yesterday .. it was a hot one even for those driving/riding ... fortunately I didn't hit any darting children -- it got spooky when we turned the corner on to Elm St -- too narrow for the crowds and darting kids ... a fun event for everyone ...

accomplishments so far -- sat thru a webinar that was awful, got Ruby detailed, went down the street for supper ... and ... drum roll -- the dentist is tomorrow ..

Week of June 28th thru July 4th ...

M: Accounting Webinar -- things we do other than income taxes .
T, W, R & F -- Quasi closed to the public, we still have payrolls and a couple other projects that need to get done -- and as beastly as the weather forecast is -- the projects will be indoors ... I'll be breaking out the hazmat suit to clean the office basement -- it's a disaster zone

Pix of the week: even weekends I still get up at 4:30/5:00 ... and it was an unexpected overnight at the cabin ... woke to thick fog -- then wind, thunder and heavy rain ... before the rains arrived -- the fertilizer spreaders made an appearance -- project of the afternoon -- string some fishing line and tinfoil so they spread fertilizer on someone else's beach
