not so wild Wednesday!

there's 5 big deadline/due dates in my (our) world

March 1st - farm returns
March 15th - partnership/S Corp returns
April 15th - individuals/corporations
September 15th - extended partnership/S Corp
October 15th - extended individual returns

we're done! lotsa hours, lotsa paper, lotsa cussing, lotsa laughs ...
Thanks for hanging with us to the end of the 2025 filing season !

Hello, 2026 -- 100 days and the games begin :)

Week of October 11th thru 17th

M12: client gigs
T13: County Board Meeting (am)
W14: R9 (evening)
R15: THE BIG DAY ....
Payroll Tax Deposits due
TDSLibrary Board (am/might be virtual)
F16: Day of rest ( similar to April 16th) :)
S17: TriCounty Solid Waste Tire/Electronics/Appliance Event

So peeps, Thursday is the big day! The due date for extended individual and corporate income tax returns. 5 left in my world -- 4 that aren't complicated -- and should have been done months ago and 1 that needs a spot of polish.

Questions of the week:
1) When do I get my $90 medicare payment -- it's arriving.
my backroom helper received his ( and shared it on wastebook)
2) When do I get my $5,000 check - probably never
3) Where's my Property Tax Refund?
use the Mn Revenue look up tool -- it's good

Pix of the week(end): Friday night sunset - Saturday night sunset -- attempting to find the northern lights ( didn't happen - again ) and my weekend computer set up ... We're soaking up as much time at the lake as possible -- before the cold, dark, snowy days arrive :)

Happy Wednesday ( late Tuesday) !

This my friends is the black screen of death on an iPad. Yep, my 6 year old, well used, well loved iPad gave it all ..... with no warning ... and I haven't dropped it lately :) it was a tough little thing over it's 6 years.

The good news -- the Amazon Prime deal saved me $10 on the new one ... don't ask about the other $300 of stuff ... I went down the rabbit hole of "it's on sale."

The bad news -- I have to read a real book tonight -- not a book from the kindle app on my iPad -- readers amid you will understand -- without our nightly ( or in my case 4:30 am ) reading time -- we suffer ...

Week of October 4th thru the 10th:
Another quiet week ahead -- a couple meetings, no doctor or dentist :) ... and there's a holiday on Friday...

Thursday was a challenging chaotic afternoon in my neighborhood. One of the neighbors was having a mental health event and a welfare check escalated into a lot of law enforcement on the ground, in the air and flipping TV choppers -- grateful for a positive outcome and all are safe -- and getting help.

It reinforces the need to have an action plan and be prepared for the "events" in life ... knowing what to do, how to do it and when to do it is important

It is also important to remember that social media is just that -- social media --

be wise
make good choices
be kind

-- scattered appointments, 1 county gig, and one doctor appointment -- and it is the end of the 3rd quarter.

and I'll be going to the car wash ... a spot of muddy overspray on the commute home to do chores :) ... sending vibes for drier warmer weather for our farm families ...
