The dates for Missouri’s Back-to-School tax exemption holiday have been announced.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7, and running until August 9, certain purchases, such as school supplies, computers and clothing, will be exempt from all state and local sales tax.

The office will be closed next week.

I will check emails for any urgent needs that could be addressed on Thursday afternoon or Friday. I will have zero access to tax info prior to that.

Saw this while cruising the Facebook…. Delaying kitchen duty….

And - want to share that MISSOURI has a beneficiary deed! Allows a house to transfer on death just like you can do with vehicles in the state of Missouri.

We highly recommend the beneficiary deed and it is absolutely true about the stepped up basis when you inherit a house versus just being added to a house. 

State rules vary - so a trust is an option, especially states without the beneficiary deed option! But - beneficiary deed is super easy for us here. Avoids probate!

Contact your local attorney for details as we are not professionals there - but do talk to our clients about the stepped up basis on capital gains.

Magdalena has made it to the new duty station safely.

Then THIS ONE springs on me she got accepted to the college program of her dreams! I was just getting settled on having her for 2 more years while she does a local program then…. I have to be happy for her and sad for us.

Last day made better with some Midway drinks.

We have been entertained a few times at Score! Adult time, kid time, celebration time, holiday time!

Our neighbors (ok… a couple buildings down) are doing a giveaway!
