📂 Think you might qualify? Here’s what we need 👇

If you want us to check whether the IRS owes you money (and protect your deadline), send us:

✔️ Any IRS notices you’ve received (especially penalty notices)
✔️ Your IRS account transcript (we can help you get this if needed)
✔️ A quick message saying: “Check me for Kwong relief”

👉 That’s it. Seriously.

We’ll:
✔️ Review your account
✔️ Determine if you qualify
✔️ File any needed protective claims (Form 843)
✔️ Make sure you don’t miss the deadline

📌 Because once that window closes… it’s closed.

💬 Don’t overthink it. Don’t wait.
Send it over and let us handle it. 😉

🤔 Do YOU qualify for penalty relief under the Kwong case?

Now that you know the IRS might owe you money…
Let’s figure out if it actually applies to you 👇

You may qualify if you:

✔️ Had IRS penalties or interest during COVID (2020–2023)
✔️ Filed late, paid late, or got hit with failure-to-file/pay penalties
✔️ Had IRS notices you didn’t fully understand (you’re not alone 😅)
✔️ Paid penalties and thought “well… that sucks” and moved on

👉 This applies to individuals AND businesses

🚫 You likely don’t qualify if:
• You had no penalties or interest
• Everything was filed and paid on time

📌 The tricky part?
The IRS hasn’t clearly identified who qualifies yet…
Which means YOU have to take action to protect your rights.

⏳ And remember — deadlines are still ticking.

💬 Not sure if this applies to you?
Send us your IRS notices or transcripts and we’ll tell you straight.

🚨 New IRS Opportunity (But Don’t Sleep On It)

There’s a recent court case — Kwong v. United States — that could mean the IRS owes YOU money back for penalties and interest during COVID.

Yep… you read that right.

Here’s the deal:

✔️ A federal court ruled that IRS deadlines were essentially paused for over 3 years
✔️ That means some penalties and interest may have been charged incorrectly
✔️ You may be eligible for a refund or abatement

👉 BUT… (there’s always a but 😅)

⏳ There is a deadline to claim it
For many people, that deadline is July 10, 2026

👉 If your time is getting close, you may need to file a
“protective claim” (Form 843) to keep your rights open—even if the IRS hasn’t fully sorted this out yet.

📌 Translation:
Don’t wait for the IRS to figure it out… because your refund window might close first.

💬 As always:
Before you guess, Google, or accidentally miss out on money…
Send us your notices or transcripts. That’s what you pay us for 😉

IRS Inflation Reduction Act Spending through September 30, 2025.

The IRS’s Inflation Reduction Act Spending Through September 30, 2025

Why did we do this review?
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), signed into law in 2022, initially provided the IRS with $79.4 billion in supplemental funding. Congress later reduced this amount to $37.6 billion by September 2025 and further reduced it by $11.7 billion in January 2026. As a result, total IRA funding available to the IRS through September 30, 2031, is now $26 billion.

This evaluation continues our reporting on how the IRS is using and accounting for these funds.

What did we find?
As of Sept. 30, 2025, the IRS spent about $15.7 billion in IRA funding (61 percent of the current total). The largest spending categories were:

Employee compensation: $7.3 billion
Contractor/advisory services: $5.2 billion
The IRS reduced its workforce by 25 percent between February and May 2025. However, this didn't significantly impact employee compensation costs because most employees that took workforce reduction incentives remained on the payroll until September 30, 2025.

In FY2025, the IRS, spent $6.7 billion of its IRA funds.
