Small-cap stocks have been a standout this year, with the Russell 2000 up over 21%—its best start since 1991.

AI-related investment is expanding beyond mega-cap tech, lifting smaller companies in sectors like semiconductors and connectivity.

While interest rates are still in focus, the move highlights how opportunities are broadening across the market.

Treasury yields edged higher after May job openings came in at 7.6 million, topping expectations.

The 10-year rose to ~4.40% and the 2-year to ~4.125%—levels that can influence borrowing costs like mortgages and credit cards.

Investors are watching inflation and labor data closely for clues on where rates may head next.

Saving for retirement gets the spotlight—but spending it wisely matters just as much.

Only 31% of Americans are familiar with “decumulation,” and many retirees end up underspending, some still have all (or more) of their savings well into their 80s.

The challenge isn’t just building wealth. It’s knowing how to use it, while navigating taxes, inflation, healthcare, and longevity.

Many Americans spend decades saving for retirement, but lack a plan for using that money once they stop working, a new survey finds. Here's what to know.

Important student loan changes as of July 1!

New borrowing caps, fewer repayment options, and updates to Pell Grant eligibility could impact planning for students and families.

Parent PLUS loans will be limited to $20K/year ($65K total), with new limits for graduate borrowing as well. Repayment choices are also narrowing, and some SAVE borrowers may need to transition to a new plan.

Pell Grants are expanding to include certain short-term training programs.

Be sure to review your options, watch for updates from loan servicers, and plan ahead.

Fed unity may be coming.

Prediction markets put a 70% chance on a unanimous June rate decision—after four dissents in April, the most since 1992.

Rates are expected to hold at 3.50%–3.75%, but the real signal is alignment: policymakers may be coalescing around the current path despite stubborn inflation.

Even without a rate move, the vote itself speaks volumes.

U.S. debt held by the public has edged above GDP for the first time, at roughly $31.27T vs. $31.22T. Rising interest costs and federal spending have driven the long-term increase, making debt servicing a growing budget consideration.

Federal debt held by the public now surpasses the total value of the nation's economic output. Here's why experts say that's a concern.

Small-cap stocks are drawing attention as markets position ahead of upcoming economic reports and interest rate expectations.

Recent options data points to more defensive positioning, with puts making up a larger share of trading activity. Because small caps tend to carry higher debt sensitivity and less financial cushion, they’re often more reactive to changes in rates.
