The FTC took action against a credit repair operation accused of making BIG promises… and delivering major disappointment. Consumers were allegedly told their credit could improve by hundreds of points in as little as 45 days and were charged for services that didn’t match the hype.

❌ “Instant credit repair”
❌ “Guaranteed score increases”
❌ “We can remove accurate negative items”
❌ “Pay upfront before work is done”

…pause and do your homework.

Under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), credit repair companies generally cannot charge upfront fees before services are performed, and accurate information can’t legally be deleted just because you want it gone.
