Through the Safe & Beautiful Initiative, the City Council is investing in sidewalk repairs, tree planting, neighborhood improvements, and citywide cleanup efforts that enhance quality of life for everyone who lives, works, and visits San Fernando.

Residents can also help keep San Fernando beautiful by reporting needed repairs, tree concerns, or cleanup issues through the My San Fernando app.

On April 11, 2026, the City of San Fernando proudly partnered with TreePeople, PUC High School students and faculty, and community volunteers to celebrate Arbor Day through a community tree care event across the city. 🌳

Together, volunteers helped care for more than 50 young trees along Fourth Street and at Rudy Ortega Sr. Park by watering, mulching, pruning, and removing weeds to help ensure healthy growth for years to come.

This ongoing effort reflects the City’s commitment to environmental sustainability, neighborhood beautification, and building a greener future for the San Fernando community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a positive impact.

LA County Communications captured the event for a special “El Condado Contigo” segment.


El 11 de abril de 2026, la Ciudad de San Fernando se unió con TreePeople, estudiantes y maestros de PUC High School, y voluntarios de la comunidad para celebrar el Día del Árbol con un evento de cuidado de árboles en diferentes partes de la ciudad. 🌳

Juntos, los voluntarios ayudaron a cuidar más de 50 árboles jóvenes sobre Fourth Street y en Rudy Ortega Sr. Park al regarlos, ponerles mulch, podarlos y quitarles la hierba para ayudar a que crezcan fuertes y saludables por muchos años.

Este esfuerzo refleja el compromiso de la Ciudad con el cuidado del medio ambiente, el mejoramiento de los vecindarios y la construcción de un futuro más verde para la comunidad de San Fernando. Gracias a todos los que participaron y ayudaron a hacer una diferencia positiva.
