Increased Standard Mileage Rates Starting July 1, 2026

Due to higher fuel prices, the IRS has increased the standard mileage rate for business driving to 76 cents per mile for mileage incurred on or after July 1, 2026. The rates for medical travel and eligible moving expenses have also increased to 23.5 cents per mile.

The charitable mileage rate remains unchanged at 14 cents per mile, while the previously announced 2026 rates continue to apply to mileage incurred before July 1.

Darling, Gifford & Associates mourns the loss of our beloved family member and former receptionist, Kitty Behnke.

Kitty enjoyed coming down from New York during tax season to help in the office and spend time with her dad, Bart Gifford, and her nephew, Steven Darling.

Kitty’s kindness, faith, creativity, and love for her family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by our family, our office, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband Joseph, her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Kitty, you will be missed.
