It's that time of year. During the summer and fall months, I beef up and reinforce my skills and tax expertise with continuing education. Which also counts as work towards my 72 hour continuing education requirements to maintain my EA license. I have unlimited practice rights and am able to represent individuals and businesses on tax matters before the IRS. Here's the latest for the month of September.

It's that time of year again. I knew that OB3 (One Big Beautiful Bill) would be a major tax overhaul with lots of changes so I decided to start with this one. There are several new tax provisions, terminations of credits altogether, audits no longer required in some cases. Tax Pros will be very busy and inundated with lots of questions and frustrations this upcoming tax season.

I will be updating my client engagement letter to include updated terms of service. An Upfront Deposit of 25% of total tax preparation fees for invoices totaling over $1,000 is now required.

My invoices are "Due On Receipt". This does not mean 1 week later, 2 weeks later, NET 15 or NET 30. Due On Receipt means exactly that with payment presented same day or clearing within 1-2 business days. Tax returns will not be filed or released until payment is received. I am very transparent with my prices and estimates beforehand so that clients know exactly what to expect.

Watermarked tax returns with "Do Not File" will no longer be provided for review prior to receipt of payment. Clients will receive Tax Summaries instead.

Enrolled Agents are required to obtain 72 hours of continuing education every 3 years. A minimum of 16-24 hours annually through an IRS Approved CPE provider. It's mandatory to maintain our EA license. I frequently get asked what type of tax returns I prepare as well as issues and matters that I advise on. So I decided to share. Here's my CPE round up for this past year up until now. Happy Tax Filing Season!

Look what came in the mail! My EA card finally came in the mail yesterday! In my previous video update, I noted that my renewal was approved on 6/3/2024. My EA license is good through 3/31/2027.
