Credit tip:

Stop using Experian Boost, especially while youre improving your credit and in credit repair!

1. You’re giving them access to your bank account.

2. The same accounts your disputing, you’re helping verify as accurate by giving them access to your bank account.

3. You will lose the small point boost they give you while you’re working on your credit.

4. Add positive Tradelines instead!

📌Tax Tip

If someone asks for your AGI from last year to file your taxes that means they are using Turbo Tax or another free website to do your taxes. A tax professional with credentials and professional software DOES NOT need your AGI to EFile!! Wtbs the free sites are for personal use and self preparation so if someone is doing your taxes on a free site their name will be nowhere on that return as your preparer! Just make sure that you know what they are putting on your tax return!

KEEP OLD CREDIT CARDS OPEN TO MAINTAIN THE LONGER HISTORY

Even if you no longer use an old credit card, it's typically best to keep the account open. That's because your credit scores benefit from a long credit history and a high total credit limit.
Closing established accounts will shorten the average age of your accounts and lower your total credit limit. It will take years before an account closed in good standing drops off your credit report, but the effects on your credit utilization rate are immediate. If a credit card comes with a high annual fee you can't afford, closing the account could be a good option—or ask your issuer to downgrade the card to a no-fee version if possible.
