Good reminder on days like this:
1. The S&P index has dropped by more than 30% 17 times in the last 60 years! Why would anyone want to experience that once let alone 17 times?
2. If you would have stayed invested that entire time, with dividends reinvested, you would have had an average annual return of over 11%! That's why.
