Just in case you forgot… LOL! 😂 **The Sheridan office is CLOSED to the public!**

We are in the process of removing *everything* from the office, so please don’t make a trip to Sheridan looking for us. 😉

For future reference, **Grove & Company’s new home is in Hot Springs:**

After months of planning, the time has finally come. **Tomorrow, Grove & Company will close its Sheridan office.** ❤️

While I will still prepare a few tax returns from my home each tax season, the reality is… **I AM RETIRED!** 🎉

You might be asking, *“Why?”* Well, there are five main reasons—and each one has played a part in bringing me to this point.

So, here they are… **the reasons I’m finally hanging up my hat (well, mostly 😉)!**

We weren’t addicted to our cell phones back then, but that does make it hard to find pictures from the first decade! 😂 So, I’m going to jump ahead to 2013.

My dear friend & fellow CPA, Amy, and I spent tax season buying up all the Bit-O-Honey in town to get us through tax season. 😂 Roux kept us company during those long, late nights at the office.

And 2013 was a big year—we celebrated Grove & Company’s 10-year anniversary with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting…that we never did when we originally opened our doors! Better late than never! 🎉✂️

Ten years, countless tax returns, lots of Bit-O-Honey, late nights, good friends, and so many memories. ❤️ What a journey it has been!

One day in early 2003, I sat down with my friend and attorney, Margaret Dobson, and said, “I think I want to have my own firm.”

And on February 7, 2003, Grove & Company was born.

Zero clients. Zero furniture. Zero software. Margaret suggested that we share an office…and I was off and running.

Fast-forward through thousands of clients, much more furniture, an entire office building, computers, software, employees, and **a whole lot of tax returns**.

There were hours upon hours of tax preparing. Bundles of client meetings. The joy of helping people. The satisfaction of solving problems. The frustration of dealing with the IRS. The laughter, the stress, the friendships, the challenges, and so many people who became much more than just clients.

And then, one day…it was time.

Time to close the office in a town that has been so very good to Grove & Company.

As I look around at all the memories packed into these walls, I realize that closing an office is about so much more than desks and computers. It’s closing a chapter that has been a HUGE part of my life for the past 23 years.

So over the next few days, we might have to venture down memory lane.

**Beware. There may be some laughs. There may be some tears. And there will definitely be some memories. ❤️**

Well, folks… the countdown is on! 😂

As we come to the end of the **Grove & Company Sheridan office**, our hours for the remainder of August will be:

📅 **Mondays & Tuesdays**
⏰ **8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.**

So if you need to see us in Sheridan, you better get moving! 😉

**Beginning September 1, the Sheridan office will be closed to the public.**

It’s definitely the end of an era, and we are so thankful for all the wonderful clients, friends, and memories we’ve made over the years! ❤️

Today we officially started the fun (😵‍💫) process of boxing up files as we prepare to close the office.

A huge shout-out to Kelly and Tammy—they’ve been absolute troopers! ❤️

No pictures were taken because we were all trying to avoid documenting the sweaty chaos… and for everyone’s protection, it was probably best. 😂📦 Instead we give you a picture of one of the PR Managers!
