March 16 - due dates for partnership and s corporation tax returns

Each month seems to hold some sort of tax due date. This month W-2's and 1099's must be sent out. The normal due date would be January 31st. Since the 31st is a Saturday, the due date for these forms this year becomes February 2nd.

Have you ever thought of what happens after you send your documents to your CPA? The condition in which you send your data really can play into the outcome. Being a business owner, you should be able to present a profit and loss statement that your CPA can work with when preparing your return. If you just provide them with a pile of receipts they have to take the time to figure it out. This can be stressful and can be a time drain for your CPA during their busy season. A more organized client leads to better outcomes.
