Fair Tax is a locally owned tax and bookkeeping company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Founded in 1989

In addition to preparing tax returns for individuals, we provide a range of financial services such as bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, payroll services and, of course, tax preparation to small- and medium-sized businesses. Our team takes a personal approach to individual and professional services and take great pride in being accurate and thorough. If you stop in, you might spot him casually roaming the office - cool, calm and completely unbothered by tax season chaos OR making his afternoon snack rounds, gently checking each desk for quality control (and by quality control, we mean treats). One tail wag, one soft nudge, and suddenly that stressful return doesn’t feel quite so overwhelming.

January is always a rough month. Training, relearning things we've forgotten over 8 months, new systems, new policies, new procedures, you get the idea.

Now we're into February. Everything is up and running. We have great staff, one of our best years yet. We are ready to rock and roll. We are excited to greet our returning customers, meet new folks and generally have a bit of fun.

This really is more than just a job. We've built great relationships, developed bonds and established mutual trust. We love what we do - helping our customers in any number of different ways.
