Misty Pacheco Bookkeeping

Misty Pacheco Bookkeeping I take the stress out of bookkeeping so you can focus on growing your business. Let’s build a strong financial foundation together! Misty R. I'm Misty R.

I keep your records accurate, reconcile accounts, and provide insights to help you make smart financial decisions. Pacheco - Professional Full Charge Bookkeeper

Welcome to my corner of the web! Pacheco, a dedicated professional bookkeeper with a passion for maintaining the financial health of businesses. In my role as a full-charge bookkeeper, I handle a wide range of responsibilities, including

day-to-day transaction coding, AR/AP, reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet and P&L reporting, month-end reporting, and state, city, and local tax filings (Federal 940/941, W2, 1099), as well as payroll management. My Journey

My career in bookkeeping has been a rewarding journey of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial clarity for the businesses I work with. Every transaction and reconciliation tells a story, and I take pride in stewarding resources with integrity while leading with vision to turn goals into lasting impact. Educational Background

I hold a B.S. in Business Management with a focus in Accounting from Western Governors University. This academic foundation has been instrumental in shaping my understanding of business operations and financial management. Personal Touch

I love to work with my clients. Building a personal relationship with each one is very important to be able to give them the financial reassurance needed. They need to be able to do what they know how to do and leave their books in good hands. Personal Passions

When I'm not immersed in numbers and financial reports, you can find me making music. I love to play the piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Music is my creative outlet and a way to unwind. My family, including my husband and children, are my greatest motivators and my constant source of joy. Life Beyond Work

Beyond the office, my life is rooted in faith, family, and the joy of giving back. As a pastor’s wife, I find great purpose in supporting my husband’s ministry and serving our church community. Missionary work has also become a meaningful part of my journey, allowing me to connect with others and contribute to causes that bring hope and transformation. When I’m not busy with these endeavors, I cherish my time outdoors—whether it’s working in the yard or relaxing by the pool with my family. My two Basset Hounds, who I affectionately call my babies, are never far from my side. They add a special touch of happiness to my days, making every moment brighter. In Misty's Words

"Accounting and business management go hand in hand - stewarding resources with integrity while leading with vision to turn goals into lasting impact."

Bank statements alone do not substantiate your deductions. They show that a transaction happened, but they do not explain the business purpose behind it.

Here is what proper documentation actually looks like:

- Mileage logs with the date, destination, business purpose, and miles driven

- Asset purchase records showing the invoice, in service date, and business use percentage

- Payroll reports, filed tax forms, and proof that payments were made

- Meal receipts that show the date, total, and clear business purpose

- Home office records that prove exclusive use and accurate square footage

Clean books are step one. Solid documentation is step two.

Good bookkeeping is not just about staying organized. It directly impacts how much tax you pay.

When your books are accurate and up to date, you:

- Capture every legitimate business expense
- Track deductions correctly
- Avoid missed write offs
- Reduce errors that can trigger penalties
- Plan ahead instead of scrambling at tax time

It's the key to unlocking hidden deductions, preventing costly errors, and reducing your taxable income.

Bookkeeping is not just admin. It is protection.

Are your books tax ready?

Good bookkeeping can change how you run your business!

Strong businesses rarely depend on a single income source. They build multiple revenue streams that support cash flow and long term growth.

Here are successful revenue stream examples for small businesses:

- Core services: Your primary offer such as therapy sessions, consulting, or other client based services that generate consistent income.

- Product sales: Retail products, supplements, branded merchandise, or digital downloads that complement your services.

- Packages or treatment plans: Bundled services paid upfront to improve cash flow and client commitment.

- Membership or maintenance plans: Recurring monthly revenue for ongoing care or support.

- Workshops or group sessions: Educational events that allow you to serve multiple clients at once.

- Online programs or virtual services: Expanding beyond your local area through digital offers.

- Affiliate income: Recommending trusted products or tools and earning commission.

Which revenue stream are you currently building?

Two months down. One full quarter almost complete.

This is your reminder to pause and check in on your business finances before the month runs away from you.

- Have you reviewed your February numbers?

- Are your expenses aligned with your goals?

- Have you reconciled your books for the quarter?

It's the perfect time to clean up loose ends, follow up on unpaid invoices, and prepare for quarter end reporting.

What is one financial goal you are focusing on this month?
