Inflation affects everyone a little differently.

For some, it's higher grocery bills. For others, it's rising insurance costs, increased utility expenses, or simply noticing that everyday purchases don't stretch as far as they used to.

While we can't control rising prices, we can control how often we revisit our financial plan.

Sometimes the most valuable adjustments are also the simplest: reviewing your budget, identifying recurring expenses that have quietly increased, or making sure recent income changes are supporting your long-term goals instead of disappearing into everyday spending.

Building wealth has never been about making perfect financial decisions. It's about building consistent habits that help you adapt over time.

Our latest resource on our site shares practical ways to strengthen your financial system and continue making progress, even when costs are rising.

Rising costs affect all areas of life. Learn how to build a financial strategy to combat inflation.

Six months can bring a lot of change.

A new job. A growing business. Different priorities. Unexpected expenses. New opportunities.

Even when those changes happen gradually, they can influence the financial goals and plans you set at the beginning of the year.

That's why we believe the middle of the year is a great time to step back and take another look.

A mid-year financial review isn't about starting over. It's an opportunity to make sure your financial plan still reflects where you are today and where you'd like to be by year's end.

Our latest blog explores a few questions worth considering as you head into the second half of the year.

When people think about legacy planning, they often focus on assets.

Who receives what? How will accounts be transferred? Is the estate plan up to date?

Those questions matter. But for many families, the more lasting legacy isn't found in documents or account statements. It's found in the values, lessons, and perspectives that shaped those financial decisions in the first place.

Over the years, we've seen that the conversations behind the plan can be just as important as the plan itself.

What do you hope your children or grandchildren will understand about money, generosity, responsibility, or stewardship?

Our latest blog explores how retirees can help pass along not only wealth, but the values and intentions behind it.

Your financial professional should get the scoop about your work life. Whether you get that big raise, start a new job or get a new title, or start your own business, your financial pro needs to be in the loop.

Sometimes the most important financial conversations begin with a simple update.

If there’s anything new happening in your life, business, family, or long-term plans, consider scheduling a mid-year review with the BFC team.

Who’s the first person you tell big news to? Your spouse? Your family? Put your financial professional near the top of your list. They need to know about the big transitions you make, so they can help you adjust your strategy accordingly.

Financial planning works best as an ongoing conversation, especially when life changes along the way.

If it’s been a while since your last review, we’d be happy to reconnect and discuss any updates, questions, or goals during a mid-year check-in. Give us a call today.
