This is an important point to note, considering the airports close proximity to The Point Industrial Park. This airport sets across the highway from an established shopping plaza that has struggled to maintain tenants. It is also less than 3 miles from two more shopping plaza/strip malls that also see high numbers of vacancies. This airport is an established piece of vital infrastructure that needs to be maintained in order for Lawrence County to compete with other locales in the future attracting business small and large.
