Welcome to Q3.

If you're a small business owner or real estate investor, this is the most important quarter to get right, because you still have 6 months to shape your 2026 tax outcome.

Here's what should be on your radar right now:

→ Q3 estimated taxes - due September 15. Start calculating now, not in September.

→ Mid-year income review - are you on track with your projections? Did you have a better-than-expected first half? Adjust your withholding or payments accordingly.

→ Major purchase timing - if you're planning to buy equipment or make a capital investment, Q3 is a great time to act so it's on the books before year-end.

→ Entity structure review - S-corp elections can still be made for 2026. If you've been thinking about it, now is the time.

Q3 is where the proactive taxpayer separates from the reactive one. Which are you?

Giving back and getting a tax break? Sounds like a win-win… but here's what most people miss 👇

Yes, charitable donations can lower your tax bill, but not every donation qualifies.

Here's what changed for 2026:
✅ If you take the standard deduction, you may be able to deduct up to $1,000 in qualifying cash donations ($2,000 if married filing jointly).

But keep these rules in mind:
❌ Giving money directly to a friend or individual isn't deductible.
❌ Charity event tickets? You can generally deduct only the amount that exceeds the value of what you received (like dinner or entertainment).

✅ Donations must be made to qualified charitable organizations, and not every organization or type of gift qualifies.

Too many people either overclaim deductions, or leave money on the table because they don't know the rules.

Smart giving isn't just generous. It's strategic.

📅 If you're unsure what qualifies or how to maximize your tax savings, let's talk.

🚨 Business owners: your business structure could be costing you thousands.

If you're running a single-member LLC, your business income may be subject to self-employment tax.

One strategy? Electing S Corp tax status.

That can allow income to be split into:

✔️ A reasonable salary (subject to payroll taxes)
✔️ Distributions (generally not subject to self-employment tax)

The result? Potential tax savings, but only if it makes sense for your business.

S corps also come with payroll, compliance, and additional filing requirements.

The best business structure isn't the trendiest one, it's the one that fits your goals.

💬 Wondering if your current setup is costing you money? Let's talk.

💰 Are you paying more taxes than you need to?

If you're a sole proprietor or single-member LLC earning $60K+ in net profit, there may be a smarter way to structure your business.

An S-Corp election can potentially save thousands each year in self-employment taxes, while keeping you fully compliant.

The catch? It's not the right move for everyone.

Comment or DM "S-CORP" and I'll help you determine whether it makes sense for your situation. 👇

Myth: Rental income is always fully taxable.

Fact: Strategic investors know better.

Depreciation, cost segregation, and the QBI deduction can significantly reduce the amount of rental income that's actually subject to tax.

The goal isn't just earning more income, it's keeping more of it.
