We're seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with strong payroll experience to join our growing team!
Ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years accounting / payroll experience
- Proficiency with Thompson Reuters accounting software is a huge plus! (we do NOT use QuickBooks here)
- Solid skills in handling semi-complex financial/tax scenarios independently
- Ability to respond directly to IRS and State of Michigan inquiries
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Payroll preparation + monthly/quarterly payroll tax returns
- Making timely tax payments
- Meeting deadlines with accuracy and professionalism
You should be:
- A quick learner who thrives on multitasking
- Professional at all times
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
Schedule & Perks:
Tax season: Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 4 PM
Off-season: Mon–Thu, 8 AM – 4 PM → Hello, 3-day weekends! 🌟
Starting pay: $26-30 per hour
