We’re almost through Q3 and heading into the final months of 2026, so now is the time to focus on your year end goals and prepare for upcoming deadlines.

This month, take time to:

- Check your cash flow
- Start looking for a bookkeeper and tax accountant now
- Plan for year-end deadlines

What’s one business goal you’re working toward this September?

Hey, hi... extended tax deadlines are HEREEEE! 👀📆

September 15th is coming up, and depending on your business structure, you may have a tax deadline waiting for you.

Here's what's due:

→ Individuals: Third installment of your 2026 estimated taxes

→ Partnerships: Extended Form 1065 + K-1s/K-3s, if applicable

→ S Corporations: Extended Form 1120-S + K-1s/K-3s, if applicable

→ C Corporations: Third installment of your 2026 estimated taxes

Basically... no one is escaping September without checking their tax calendar. 😂

If you're not sure whether September 15th applies to you—or you're wondering what you need to submit—don't wait until the deadline is staring you in the face.

Save this post, check your tax calendar, and reach out to your tax professional if you need help. 📲

September is National Disaster Preparedness Month, so let's talk about something you probably don't think about until you need it: disaster-related tax relief. 🌪️📋

When you're dealing with an emergency, the LAST thing on your mind is filing your taxes.

The good news? In certain federally declared disaster situations, the IRS may postpone tax filing and payment deadlines for affected taxpayers.

But here's the important part: simply living in the same state as a disaster isn't necessarily enough to qualify.

If you think you may be affected:

→ Go to the IRS Tax Relief in Disaster Situations page
→ Search for your state + the disaster
→ Check that your specific county, parish, or Tribal area is included
→ Review the covered period
→ Double-check which deadlines have been postponed and the new due dates

And SAVE this post! 📌

Because if you're ever dealing with a disaster, the last thing you want to do is spend your limited energy trying to figure out your tax deadlines.

A little preparation now can save you a LOT of stress later.

If you use your cell phone and internet for business, you may be able to deduct the business-use portion of those expenses.

Here's what to keep in mind:

- Only the business-use percentage is generally deductible.

- Keep copies of your monthly phone and internet bills.

- Use a reasonable method to calculate your business use.

- Keep records showing how your phone and internet are used for business.

- Review your deduction each year if your business use changes.

Two businesses can earn the same revenue and have completely different financial outcomes.

That's because revenue alone doesn't determine the financial health of a business. Cash flow does.

Cash-rich business:
- Knows its numbers
- Plans ahead
- Monitors cash flow
- Makes data driven decisions

Cash-poor business:
- Delays important decisions
- Doesn't review financial reports
- Falls behind on bookkeeping
- Doesn't know where the money is going

Want to improve your cash flow and make smarter financial decisions?

Book a call using the link in our profile or comment "books" below to learn more about our services.

Here are some simple ways to better protect your business:

- Reconcile your bank and credit card accounts every month.
- Review your bank statements and financial reports for unfamiliar transactions or unusual changes.
- Never give one person complete control over your finances. Separate duties whenever possible.
- Review vendor and employee payment details before sending money.
- Watch for duplicate payments or duplicate invoices.
- Change your passwords regularly and enable two factor authentication on financial accounts.
