The Story Behind Bluebird Bookkeeping Solutions
Bluebird Bookkeeping Solutions was born out of a realization: traditional CPA firms often overlook the small and micro businesses that need support the most. These are the business owners who took a leap of faith — turning a skill or passion into a livelihood — only to find that the financial side of things, like bookkeeping and tax prep, quickly becomes overwhelming.
Many of these owners reach out to CPA firms for help, only to be quoted prices that are completely out of reach — sometimes costing more than 50% of their monthly income. It’s no surprise that many walk away feeling discouraged and unsupported.
I know this story well — because I lived it. For years, I worked at a large CPA firm in Middle Tennessee, where I managed bookkeeping for many of their smaller clients. As the firm expanded, their pricing increased, and I watched as long-time clients — the ones I had built relationships with — were priced out of services they had relied on for decades.
That didn’t sit right with me.
So I left the firm and began working directly with small businesses, offering the hands-on, affordable, and personalized service they truly needed. In 2023, a personal injury made commuting impossible for most of the year, forcing me to rethink how I worked — and that’s when Bluebird Bookkeeping Solutions officially took flight.
Since then, I've had the privilege of supporting small businesses across Middle Tennessee — bridging the gap between overwhelmed business owners and overpriced CPA firms.
