In September, our program supports The Arc of the Ozarks and their mission to support individuals with disabilities in directing their own lives as valued members of the community.

The Arc of the Ozarks believes every person has dreams, goals, and a desire to direct their lives regardless of their abilities. They help those in our community with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing employment, housing, and community.

Their services include community living, employment services, recreational programs, community support, educational services, autism services, family advocacy, behavioral health, and therapeutic services.

When asked what's the best advice he's ever heard, Kort shared this quote from John F. Kennedy, “Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men.”

He added, "I really like this quote because it might seem odd at first. Who doesn’t want to live an easy life, right? No problems seems great! However, anyone who has lived very long knows that life will inevitably throw difficulties at you from time to time. It’s in those times where we realize that we should have been praying to be a stronger person. That’s where we need strength from God to get through. I do not believe God put us on this Earth to live the easiest life possible. We were put here for a purpose. Rather than thinking about how easy I can make my life, I want to pray for strength so that I can help make the lives of my family and friends better. After all, what was really accomplished with an easy life?" ✨

was happy to attend and sponsor the 23rd Annual Gold Buckle Gala benefiting the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation.

The Ozark Empire Fair Foundation supports youth in agriculture and invests in facilities at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. The gala also recognizes Southwest Missouri 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors and helps provide youth grants and scholarships.

We appreciate the opportunity to support an event focused on celebrating local youth in agriculture in our community!
