The IRS just send us a missive that we feel the need to pass on to you.

In IR-2024-278, the IRS is now encouraging ALL taxpayers to sign up for Identity Protect Pins before the 2025 Tax Season. Why do it now? Because, despite how far away the next tax season may seem for you (especially with Holiday season mere weeks away), the "signing up early will ensure taxpayers have extra safety by having an IP PIN to electronically file their returns when the filing season begins."

If you're interested, go to the official IRS website to creative an IRS Online Account, which will provide a fast, user-friendly way to obtain an IP PIN.
