Instead of all the towns and county spending money to convert us to natural gas, which is one of utilities that is very dangerous, the monies should have been spent on sewerage treatment plants.
The lakes, streams , rivers and ground water are polluted because of poor septic systems.

Many years ago, the Federal government came to our area offering to pay 100% of the cost, per the geniuses turned them down

National 529 Day – Did You Know?

If you put money into a 529 education savings plan, earnings may be withdrawn federal income tax-free when used for qualified education expenses. Qualified expenses can include tuition, fees, books, supplies, computers, and for students enrolled at least half-time, certain room and board costs.

While 529 contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes, many states offer a full or partial state income tax deduction or credit for contributions. Some states and plan sponsors may also offer special incentives around National 529 Day.

Recent law changes expanded the use of 529 plans. In 2026, up to $20,000 per year, per student, may be used for qualified K–12 education expenses at public, private, or religious schools. Prior years were generally limited to $10,000 annually.

In watching at the Mets game on Monday night, baseball is having the players and coaches challenge ball and strikes. The Mets batter bunted the ball into the air and the pitcher missed the ball, but the plate umpire missed the second out, the left handed batter's left foot was out of the batter box, this the second out
The plate umpire missed it because he was not in the slot, with a left-handed batter his head should be over the catchers right shoulder
The second base umpire should be looking as he is in grass part of the infield

This year as a high school softball umpire I have called it several times
Many years ago I called on the same girl twice in a one game. Her father coach was not happy

Adding to my previous post, in the same inning if the catcher hit the runner with his throw, the batter runner would have been called out for being fair territory. The batter runner must run in that special area on the first base side.

That's how the Mets won the 1969 world series because it was not called on JC Martin

In later years one of the umpires who worked that series was talking about the series was fixed and was killed by pickup truck in Arizona

Watching the Yankee game last night, I was amazed at what Aaron Boone does not know about some of the basic rules of baseball.
The batter is hit on the hands while holding the bat. The batter goes to first base but the plate umpire brings him back to the plate. Boone challenges the call and call is confirmed
