It is expected that the IRS will start accepting and processing tax returns for the upcoming 2023 tax season from late January.

We are being told January 23, 2023

It is expected that taxpayers will again face some level of delays in the upcoming tax season due to the sheer volume of filings, but thanks to increased IRS funding and post-pandemic conditions, delays should be much shorter.
