DAY 3: DUBROVNIK OLD TOWN 🇭🇷
We did this day a little backwards… beach first, Old Town second. 😄
Banje Beach was beautiful, but after swimming, sun and a lot of walking, we definitely didn’t have as much energy left for Dubrovnik’s historic center as we thought we would.
Still, Old Town was worth it — narrow stone streets, churches, the historic harbor, the Great Onofrio Fountain, and those incredible views everywhere you turn.
Our takeaway? Explore Old Town early in the morning or later in the evening. Midday can be hot and crowded, and this is a place you really want time to enjoy.

Day 3 — Croatia! 🇭🇷
Apparently our Dubrovnik strategy was: beach first, sightseeing later. 😄
I loved Banje Beach. Wait until the end to hear why Michael liked this beach. 😂The water was incredibly clear, the Old Town view was beautiful, and it was so easy to combine with the rest of Dubrovnik.
Dad found rocks to climb, I found a place to float, so everyone was happy. 😂
Would you do BEACH FIRST or OLD TOWN FIRST?
And yes… it was Mom’s birthday. More on that soon. 🎂

Apparently we developed a very strict cruise schedule. 😂
Excursion → lunch → pool around 4 → dinner → show → live music.
Repeat.
I could definitely get used to this routine!
And I have to say, that seawater pool became one of my favorite places on the ship.

We went underground in Kefalonia… twice. 😂
Two completely different caves, and one clear winner for us.
Melissani had the magical blue water and boat ride. Drogarati had the drama, the stalactites… and the stairs. LOTS of stairs.
Which one would you choose — Melissani or Drogarati?

Apparently in Kefalonia, “two-lane road” is more of a suggestion. 😂
We survived the bus ride — and what was waiting for us next was worth it: Melissani and Drogarati Caves!

What else is Kefalonia hiding?

Our first drive across the island quickly showed us there’s a lot more to discover.
Kefalonia is the largest island in the Ionian Sea — full of mountains, olive groves, dramatic coastlines and some fascinating places hidden underground. �
Let’s just say we were impressed that our bus and an oncoming car somehow BOTH fit. 😂
We were on our way to two of Kefalonia’s famous underground sights: Melissani Lake Cave and Drogarati Cave.
