Last in our Ithaca series, but certainly not least, we're proud to spotlight David Stinson. David brings nearly 30 years of public accounting experience. Dave earned his BS from Cornell University and his MS in Accounting from Binghamton University. He is also a former board member of the Community School of Music and Arts, Historic Ithaca, and the SPCA of Tompkins County.

As we conclude our Ithaca team introductions, we'd like to thank everyone who followed along. We're excited for the future of our Ithaca office and excited for the continued success for our clients and our firm.

We’re proud to spotlight Elyse McMillen, CPA as a Manager in our Ithaca office. Since joining the firm in 2015, Elyse has provided clients with employee benefit plans, while also supporting clients with individual and entity tax services.

Elyse earned her AS in Accounting from Tompkins Cortland Community College and her BA in Accounting and MBA in Professional Accountancy from Ithaca College. She is also an active member of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee.

We’re excited for the continued impact Elyse will make as a leader on our Ithaca team and throughout Bowers.

We’re proud to spotlight Samantha Jordan, CPA as a Manager in our Ithaca office. Samantha joined our Ithaca team as an intern in 2016 and began her full-time career with the firm in 2017. She provides tax services to individuals and businesses and supports clients with assurance services, with a focus on employee benefit plans and credit unions.

Samantha earned her BS in Accounting and Business Administration with a Finance concentration, as well as her MA in Accounting, from Ithaca College. We’re excited to see Samantha continue to grow her impact and help deliver exceptional service to our clients throughout the region.

We’re proud to spotlight David Johnson as part of our Ithaca team. With more than twelve years of public accounting experience, David provides compliance services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. His expertise and commitment to client service make him a valued resource for those he works with.

David earned his BS in Accounting & Information Science from State University of New York at Oswego. Outside of the office, he is active in our community as a board member of Finger Lakes Pregnancy Care and Life Changing Labs. We’re grateful for David’s dedication to our clients, our community, and the Bowers team.

Shoutout to our Bowers 6s volleyball team for winning the Sharkey's Bar & Grill Volleyball playoffs! This competitive group showed great teamwork and energy outside of the office. We’re proud to spotlight Denise Coyle as part of our Ithaca team. Since joining the office in 2011, Denise has supported clients with individual tax services, including those with complex and international tax needs. She is a member of the firm’s International Tax Group and Health Care Committee, and previously served on the State and Local Tax Committee.

Denise brings a diverse background to her work, with experience in the oil and high-tech industries, higher education, and running her own accounting practice before returning to public accounting. She earned her BA in Business Administration from the University of Montana and her MBA from Northeastern University. Welcome to Bowers!
