This off season we were busy fixing a lot of people returns that were done wrong by other prepares and here’s the top 3 issues we found:
❌People missing credits resulting in their refunds being lower so we performed amendments to get them their missing money.
❌Returns weren’t even filed even though the client was informed they were.
❌Missing information that the preparer didn’t include resulting in the IRS delaying returns with many still waiting on their refunds.
Here’s a bonus! ❌ We’ve also got a lot of new clients that were unable to contact their prepares after the tax season (May-Jan). Being able to contact your preparer or preparation company all year round is important if issues or questions arise.
