This week, I had the pleasure of attending the SHRM Pinellas Conference alongside Danny Ruiz and Jakob Hart as a sponsor.

Danny was a featured speaker and reminded us that not all retirement plans or advisors are created equal. The difference between an average vs optimized retirement plan can mean hundreds of thousands of dollars over time.

Why does that matter? Because medical expenses and long-term care are some of the fastest ways to drain a retirement fund.

Most people don't know that you have the ability to choose or change funds in your company's 401k or 403b plan. If your plan hasn’t been built with this in mind or reviewed in a while, it might be time for a second look!

Random thought.. I found a penny in the parking lot today. They always brings a smile to my face every time because as I bend down to pick them up, I hear my Grandma's voice saying "See a penny, pick it up and all the day you'll have good luck". It's like a little reminder that she's still around. But then I thought to myself, a few years from now this saying will have no merit. We're one generation away from anyone knowing what a penny is! Crazy!
