💡 Did you know?

If you owe the IRS more than $66,000 in seriously delinquent federal tax debt, the government may:

❌ Deny your passport application
❌ Prevent you from renewing your passport
❌ Revoke your current passport

Simply owing taxes does not automatically trigger this rule. The debt must meet specific IRS collection requirements and be certified to the Department of State.
