US equity markets surged on Thursday, snapping a multi-day losing streak, fueled by earnings from Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and a broad rebound in semiconductor stocks, alongside encouraging inflation data.

The personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index fell -0.1% month-over-month in June, the first decline since April 2020, cutting the year-over-year rate to 3.7% from 4.1%. Core PCE rose just +0.1% (below the +0.2% expected), with the annual rate easing to 3.3% from 3.4%.
